报告人简介：

Laurent Maron，法国图卢兹第三大学教授，法国大学研究院(IUF-Insitut Universitaire de France) 高级成员，英国皇家化学会会士(FRSC)，加拿大Calgary大学和复旦大学客座教授，Dalton Transaction期刊的国际咨询委员会成员，COST管理委员会成员。1999年获得法国图卢兹第三大学理论化学和瑞典斯德哥尔摩大学理论物理博士学位；1999-2001在法国Montpellier大学Prof. O. Eisenstein团队中进行博士后研究工作；2001-至今，在法国图卢兹第三大学的物理化学系开展独立科研工作，长期从事s，d，f区金属及其配合物的电子结构和反应性机理方面的研究工作。在Science, Nat. Chem., Acc. Chem. Res., PNAS, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.等国际期刊上发表论文600余篇。获得的荣誉包括：中国科学院外国专家特聘研究员(2015, 2021), 洪堡学者 (2010，2018), RSC-SCF award (2018)等。

报告摘要：

In this presentation, we will focus on the performance of an efficient interplay between experience and theory to elucidate the reactivity of metal-catalyzed small molecule activation reactions. Based on the theoretical description of H₂ and N₂ activation we will compare f-elements (lanthanide and uranium) with s-block metal such as Calcium and Magnesium.
